Each year in early May, the KBS hosts the Knoxville Bonsai Show on the University of Tennessee Ag Campus. The event features a large display of the best bonsai from across Tennessee, lectures and demonstrations by club members and bonsai professionals, and a vendors area with a wide selection of bonsai and related items. The 2009 Knoxville Bonsai Show will feature special guest artist Bjorn Bjorholm, a current full-time bonsai apprentice at Fujikawa Kouka-en nursery in Osaka, Japan who will be returning specifically for the event.
